The dishwasher’s primary objective is to provide a clean and safe kitchen area for our staff. Must wash and clean
tableware, pots, pans and cooking equipment. Keep equipment clean and organized.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Assumes 100% responsibility for the cleanliness of dishware
- Load, run and unload the industrial dishwasher
- Wash glassware and other implements by hand when necessary
- Handle tableware carefully to minimize breakage and loss
- Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems to the kitchen manager
- Monitor dish machine water temperature and chemical levels to ensure sanitary wash cycle.
- Empty and clean all trash receptacles
- Bag and haul kitchen trash to dumpster.
- Clean food preparation and production areas as required
- Rotate dishes to reduce wear and tear on resources
- Clean dish storage
- Provide assistance to prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times
- Perform opening, closing and side work
- Clean up spills or broken glassware immediately
- Follow sanitation policies at all times
- Report any mechanical, electrical, plumbing, sanitation or janitorial issues to appropriate parties
- Must posses a positive attitude and work well with other team members
- Be able to work positively under pressure in a fast paced time sensitive restaurant environment
- No experience necessary, but must be willing to train.
- Must be able to work unsupervised
- Excellent critical thinking and time management skills
- Ability to operate industrial machinery and frequently carry loads up to 20 lbs
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing to work in hot, humid environment and on your feet for 7-8-hour shifts
- Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, kitchen and dining room personnel.
- Be willing to follow direction and ask questions for clarification if needed.
- Clean, restaurant industry specific non-slip shoes
- Socks must be worn
